HERAT CITY (PANinfo-icon): Four Talibaninfo-icon fighters were killed and another two wounded during a clash with foreign troops in Khak-i-Safid district of southwestern Farah province, an official said on Tuesday.

The clash took place in the Nangabad area late on Monday, deputy police chief, Col. Mohammad Ghaus Malyar, told Pajhwok Afghan News. The troops suffered no causalities, he said.

But a Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, claimed that the fighters had killed three American soldiers and injured a fourth in the firefight. He acknowledged the death of only one rebel and injuries to two others.
