KHOST CITY(PANinfo-icon): A joint Afghan-international security force arrested three suspected Talibaninfo-icon fighters during an operation in southeastern Khost province, police said on Friday.

The suspects were detained in Bak district on Thursday night, police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The men, currently being interrogated by NATOinfo-icon-led troops, were involved in militant activities, he said.

But a resident, Mohammad Anwar, said the detainees had no link to any militant group.

A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, also said none of their fighters had been arrested in Bak district.
