Afghans finish 3rd in handball event

KABUL‘s central Punjab province, an official said on Tuesday.

With a convincing win over Afghanistan in their last league game at the Agriculture University Stadium, Pakistan Whites emerged as champions, the Afghanistan Handball Federation’s chief coach said.

Mohammad Bashir told Pajhwok Afghan News Pakistan Greens came second when they trounced Tajikistan 37-4 in the four-team event. Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Greens, Afghanistan and Tajikistan respectively earned six, four, two and zero points.

Before returning home, Afghans will play a friendly game against the Lahore Combined XI at the Government College University Ground on Wednesday.
