QALAT (PAN militants killed a civilian on the charge of spying for the Afghan government in southern Uruzgan province, an official said on Wednesday.

The incident happened in the Shobar area of Shah Joi district late on Tuesday, the district chief, Abdul Qayyum, told Pajhwok Afghan News. The victim was ordinary civilian with no links to the government or any political group, he said.

Mohammad Akram, a resident of the area, confirmed the man’s killing by unidentified gunmen. The Taliban have not commented on the incident so far.
