KUNDUZ CITY (PANinfo-icon): One civilian was killed and another wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Khanabad district of northern Kunduz province on Saturday, officials said.

The explosion happened in the Basus district at 7am when a police vehicle was passing through the area, the district police chief, Col. Mohammad Rahim, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Nooruddin, a resident of Basus, said the injured man was in stable condition. He is under medical treatment at the Kunduz Civil Hospital.

According to security officials, 600 roadside bombs were recovered and defused over the last five months in the province.
