LASHKARGAH (PAN): Two civilians were killed and a third wounded when the car they were travelling in hit a roadside bomb in the southern province of Helmand, an official said on Saturday.
In neighbouring Kandahar province, three fighters were killed and bombs seized during an operation by Afghan and NATO-led soldiers, the governor's spokesman, Zalmay Ayubi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The three insurgents were killed and a fourth detained during a joint offensive in Zherai district of the province, he said, adding that some bombs were also recovered.
