Unidentified gunmen attack Tarakhel house

KABUL Syed Agha Tarakhel’s residence in Kabul, killing a woman, officials said on Wednesday.

The assailants entered the house in the Tarakhel bazaar area of Deh Sabz district on Tuesday night and shot dead the scholar’s daughter-i-law, district police chief, Col. Zmaray Nasiri, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Police have launched an investigation, but no one has so far been detained in connection with the murder, the colonel said.

The victim was the wife of Obaidullah, a younger son of Tarakhel, said Abdul Rahman Akhunzada, the victim’s relative. Her husband was not present at the house. She leaves behind eight children.
