Mehta beats Senzai in Asian Snooker C’ship semis

KABUL‘s star cueist Raees Khan Senzai was defeated by his Indian opponent in the semifinal of the 27th Asian Snooker Championship in the India city of Indore, an official said on Saturday.

After an impressive run in previous encounters, Senzai lost to Adyta Mehta in the semis on Friday, Mohammad Arif Paiman, the National Olympic Committee spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

At his best in the crucial match at the Yeshwant Club, the 25-year-old Indian overcame Senzai 6-4 to power into the final, where he will take on Thailand’s Passakorn Suwannawat.
