HERAT CITY (PAN): One policeman was killed and another wounded when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.
The incident happened in the Du Rahi area of Shindand district on Saturday night, deputy police chief for western zone, Brig. Gen. Ziauddin Mahmoodi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
In another incident, a highway policeman was injured as a result of a mine blast in Dilaram district, he added.
