Karzai denounce Paktika suicide blast

KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Sunday strongly condemned a suicide attack that killed and wounded a number of civilians in southeastern Paktika province.

The teenaged bomber blew himself up at a crowded market in the Shakeen bazaar of Barmal district, killing four people. Several others were injured in the blast.

The suicide bomber was a 12-year-old boy, said a statement from the governor’s office.

Karzai said the young boy was used by the enemies of Afghanistan for the attack. “The enemies of Afghanistan are weaken to the level that they are now using under age children to meet their vicious designs by killing innocent Afghans,” the president said in a statement issued from his spokesman office.
