QALAT (PAN-led troops were wounded when their patrol vehicle struck a roadside bomb in the southern province of Zabul, the alliance said on Tuesday.
There were two explosions that hit one of the vehicles on the Kabul“s media office in the south said.
The blasts happened in Spin Ghabargi and Mughalzai areas, it said, adding a tank was damaged and three troops onboard were wounded. However, the statement did not reveal the extent of injuries sustained by the soldiers.
Sanaullah, a resident of the Mughalzai area, said the highway was blocked by foreign troops after the bomb attacks. He had no information about casualties.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blasts, with their spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, saying two ISAF tanks were destroyed. Seven troops were killed, he added, a claim rejected by the alliance.
