4 Taliban killed in ISAF airstrike

KANDAHARCITY (PAN fighters were killed as a result of an airstrike by international troops in the southern province of Kandahar, officials said on Thursday.

Based on an intelligence tip, the overnight raid was conducted in the Spina Ghbarga area of Arghistan district, the governor’s house said in a statement. Four militants were killed and their bodies lay in the area.

Separately, Afghan police conducted an operation in the Akhondan area of the district. A car, a motorcycle, a rocket launcher and a chemical parcel were seized, the statement added.
