Bodies of two women found in Ghazni

GHAZNICITY(PANinfo-icon): The bodies of two womeninfo-icon were found in the capital of southern Ghazni province, police and residents said on Thursday.

Unknown gunmen had abducted the women from a house in the fifth police district on Wednesday night and their bodies were found in the Laghri area on Thursday morning.

Police chief, Col. Zarawar Zahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bodies were released to relatives. A manhunt was underway to arrest the killers, he said.

Resident Ahmadullah said the bodies were on the side of a road. Residents informed police about in the morning. The victims' family refused to talk to media people.

Elsewhere, police detained two men with pistols during a search in Khost City, the capital of southeastern Khost province.

The men travelling in a car were detained on Wednesday, Khost police chief, Col. Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News. Two masks were also recovered from the detainees, he said.
