HIA facilitator captured in Khost

KABUL (HIA) facilitator and two others suspects during an operation in Bak district of southeastern Khost province, the coalition said on Friday.

The arrests were made on Thursday after the force searched for the Gulbadin Hekmatyar group facilitator at a compound in Bak, the force said in a statement.

Elsewhere, a Taliban leader and several insurgents were detained by a combined Afghan and coalition forces in Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province on Thursday, the statement said.

A Taliban facilitator was captured during a security operation the same day in Gelan district of southern Ghazni province, it added. Also on Thursday, a weapons cache, consisting six complete rocket-propelled grenades, was discovered in Zurmat district of southeastern Paktia province.
