Four militants killed in Badghis offensive

QALA-I-NAW (PAN fighters were killed and three others wounded during a joint operation by Afghan and foreign troops in northern Badghis province, police said on Monday.

The operation, involving US troops and Afghan police, was carried out in Qal Charkh area of Qadis district on Sunday night, deputy police chief, Col. Ghulam Nabi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

A policeman was also injured in the engagement, he said.

Resident Nooruddin confirmed the helicopter-borne troops killed four militants and injured three others during the offensive.
