KABUL and the US.

“No one will be allowed to use our soil against any foreign country,” Rassoul said during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Yang Jiechi, in Beijing, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Rassoul said the international community should be honest in the fight against terrorism. He said Afghans wanted their country to be a developed one like others, so they could live in peace.

The foreign minister said militant hideouts, which are not inside Afghanistan, should be destroyed. He also thanked the Chinese government for its support toward Afghanistan’s reconstruction. He exchanged views with Jiechi over the Afghan government-initiated peace process and the security transition plan, a process beginning in July.

Chinese foreign minister on the occasion renewed his country’s commitment toward reconstruction of Afghanistan and cooperation in capacity-building of Afghan officials.

Jiechi said they were supportive of the peace process. He urged the international community to work for strengthening the capability of Afghan security forces.

He said efforts were in place to convince Chinese traders to take benefits from investment opportunities in Afghanistan.

Rassoul would also meet Chinese deputy prime minister and is expected to deliver a speech at the institute of strategic studies at the Chinese ministry of foreign affairs, the foreign ministry said.
