ISLAMABAD (PAN‘s troubled north Waziristan tribal belt on Thursday, the third such attack since US forces found and killed Osama bin Laden in his Pakistani hideout,
local officials said.
The spy plane fired two missiles at a vehicle carrying suspected militants in Dattakahel area, near the Afghan border, Samiullah Wazir, a local official told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The vehicle was heading toward the Afghan border, he said. But another security official said at least four drones were still flying over the area.
The killing of the al Qaeda chief on May 2 has strained ties between Washington and Islamabad, with suspicion in the United States that Pakistan knew where bin Laden was hiding and Pakistan angered by a raid it saw as a violation of sovereignty.
