Clash leaves two ISAF soldiers dead in south

KABUL‘s south, the alliance said on Friday.

The fatalities occurred during a clash with insurgents in southern
Afghanistan, ISAF said in a brief statement, which did not release further details about the exact location and time of the incident.

Last week, one foreign soldier was killed when a roadside bomb ripped through their military tank on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in southern Zabul province.

So far 167 foreign soldiers have been killed in various parts of the country since the beginning of this year. Last year the toll was more than 700.
