Eight of a family killed in Helmand accident

LASHKARGAH (PAN): Eight members of a family were killed when their car crashed under a truck-trailer in Sangin district of southern Helmand province on Friday, an official said.

The family was travelling in a car from the district to Lashkargah, the provincial capital, when the car collided with a truck trailer on the Kandahar highway at about 9: 30 am, traffic official, Abdul Bari, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the dead included two women, four children, the driver and a man. He said the trailer’s driver had been arrested.
