KABUL fighters were killed during a clash with a joint Afghan-international security force in the Tagab district of central Kapisa province, an official said on Friday.
The firefight erupted late on Thursday night in the Sultankhel village, police spokesman, Col. Asadullah Hamidi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Some weapons were also recovered during the offensive, he said.
Villager Wahidullah said the dead militants were of foreign origin. He said a number of militants from Pakistan‘s Waziristan area, near the Afghan border, had been staying with a local Taliban commander in the area.
A regional Taliban commander confirmed the death of their four fighters, but said a civilian was also killed by security forces.
