2 killed as rival families clash in Kandahar
KANDAHARCITY (PAN): A clash between two families left two men dead and four others, including a woman, wounded in the southern province of Kandahar, the governor's office said on Monday.
The incident took place in the Rud village of Panjwai district between family members of Ali Gul and Amanullah, the governor's office said in a statement.
The two sides exchanged fire, leaving two people dead and four others, including a woman, injured, it said. The injured people were evacuated to hospital by police, the release said, but did not reveal the extent of their injuries.
Police had launched an investigation into the shootout to determine the reason behind it, the statement said.
