Five dead in Quetta firing incident

QUETTA(PANinfo-icon): Five people were killed in a firing incident in Pakistaninfo-icon's volatile southwestern Balochistan province on Wednesday, an official said.

Gunmen opened fire at a van, killing five people in Gauharabad area of Quetta City, the provincial capital, police officer, Mehboob Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Another four people were injured in the gun attack that happened at 8am on Saryab Road. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. The attackers had managed to flee.

Police had cordoned off the area and had launched a search operation to hunt down the assailants, Khan said.
