LASHKARGAH (PAN commanders were among 10 fighters detained by intelligence officials in the southern province of Helmand, officials said on Thursday.
The commanders identified as Hafiz Abdul Wahid, Mullah) in Garamser district, the governor’s office said in a statement.
Up to 400 kilograms of explosives, 1,000 metres electric wire, 50 firecrackers, 10 remote controlled devices, 10 mines, and other ammunition were also recovered from the detainees, the statement said.
The militants wanted to use the ammunition as part of their so-called Badr operation in Lashkargah, the statement said.
