Five dead in Ghor clash

The clash between rival commanders Abdulsalam and Allah Dad erupted late on Wednesday in Charsada district due to internal dispute, police chief, Brig. Gen. Khudayar Qudsi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The gunmen fled toward Garziwan district in neighbouring Faryab province as police arrived, he said, adding police had launched an investigation, but no one has so far been detained.

Qudsi said the armed commanders had no relation with militants and they belonged to Raza tribe.
