KABUL clinched on Monday the title of the Under-13 AFC Cup Football Festival (South Asian Zone) in Iran, an official said.
Afghanistan scored six wins and tasted a solitary loss in the eight-nation tournament that began last week concluded this noon in the Iranian city of Yazd.
Afghanistan, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh participated in the event, the Football Federation secretary general said.
Mukhtar Ahmad Rustami told Pajhwok Afghan News the national squad bagged the title by earning18 points from seven encounters. Iran finished second.
