Helmand governor survives gun attack
LASHKARGAH (PAN): The governor of southern Helmand province said he escaped unhurt in an armed attack in Sangin district on Tuesday.
Gulab Mangal told reporters he came under gun attack on his way to the provincial capital Lashkargah from Sangin.
His convoy was fired at in the Pech area, the governor said, adding some bullet hit vehicle. However, no one was harmed in the assault.
