2 NATO-led troops killed in IED strikes
The deaths were announced in brief statements from the NATO-led force that neither revealed nationalities of the fallen soldiers nor the exact locations of the IED strikes.
One ISAF servicemember died in northern Afghanistan on Wednesday and another in the Taliban's southern heartland, the alliance said.
The fresh fatalities bring to 179 the number of international soldiers killed in Afghanistan so far in 2011. Last year, the deadliest for ISAF, 711 foreign troops died in the country.
