MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN attacked a logistic convoy of foreign soldiers in the central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Friday.
The insurgents assaulted the convoy in Syedabad district late on Thursday, killing a five-year-old girl and wounding four others, the governor’s spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid, said.
The children were playing games when Taliban-fired bullets hit them, the gubernatorial spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News. The wounded children were taken to a hospital of foreign soldiers in neighbouring Logar province.
There was no report about the condition of the children, he said.
