The IED strike came a day after the killing of two NATO‘s southern heartland, where attacks including roadside bombings have lately increased.

In line with its polity, ISAF neither revealed nationalities of the fallen soldiers nor the exact locations of the incidents. But mostly US troops are fighting against militants in the east.

With the latest fatalities, the number of international troops killed in 2011 in Afghanistan has reached 226. Last year, the deadliest for the NATO-led force, 711 soldiers were killed.
