Child killed in Nangarhar blast
JALALABAD (PAN): A child was killed in a blast that hit a joint patrol of Afghan and foreign troops in Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday, an official said.
The explosion happened at around 5pm, partially damaging the military vehicle in the Wazir area, the district chief, Mohammad Hassan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The troops suffered no casualties, but a seventh grade student was killed in the attack, he said. The ISAF media office in the east confirmed the attack, saying the soldiers escaped unhurt.
