The suicide bombing took place at 1.00pm in the Lahore Daag area of Marawara district, where Counterterrorism Pursuit Teams (CTP) were escorting foreign soldiers.
A burqa-clad suicide bomber blew herself up when the troops were passing through the area, deputy police chief, Abdul Saboor Allahyar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The ISAF media office in the east said one security guard was killed and two others were wounded in the explosion.
