Rebel commander killed, 3 injured in ISAF raid

MAHTARALAM (PAN-led raid in eastern Laghman province, authorities said on Tuesday.

The overnight operation in the Sangara area of Alingar district targeted local Taliban commander Mohammad Ahmad, said Col. Aziz Gharanai, the provincial police chief.

Ahmad was killed, three militants were injured, and three others remained unaccounted for, said Alingar District Chief Sayed Sharif Pacha.
