The overnight operation was conducted in the Shewan area of Bala Blok district, the provincial police chief, brig Gen. Syed Mohammad Roshan Dil told Pajhwok Afghan News.

A former Taliban Wakil, was among the detainees, said Gen. Abdul Samad, the National Directorate of Intelligence head in the province. Explosives were also recovered from the men.
