Kazakhstan sends new envoy to Kabul
Omirtai Bitimov, who previously worked as a diplomat in several countries including Afghanistan over the past 10 years, was appointed as ambassador in compliance with a decree from the Kazakh president.
Bitimov has vast knowledge of Afghan culture and people, an official at the Kazakhstan embassy in Kabul told Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity. He replaces Agybai Smagulov.
