4 of a family dead in Kandahar blast
Another two men and a woman sustained shrapnel injuries in the blast that took place late on Wednesday in the Ishaqzai area of Maroof district, police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Raziq, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The victims were travelling in a tractor-trolley, he said. The victims belonged to the same family. Raziq blamed the Taliban for planting the home-made bomb, though there has been no word from the insurgents so far.
The explosion came a week after 15 people, including women and children, were killed in a similar incident in Arghandab district. The victims were travelling on a bus to the shrine of a saint in Khakrez district.
