25 rebels killed in Mohmand offensive
The operation was carried out early on Sunday morning, after militants had carried out a series of attacks on security posts in the region, the Army's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The 25 insurgents were killed in the Baizai area. A number of others rebels were injured, it said.
Backed by air support, the offensive involved the army, paramilitary troops and locally-raised tribal militias men, the statement said.
Also on Sunday, local officials in Mohmand said three Army soldiers were killed and more than a dozen others were wounded in gun attacks from insurgents elsewhere in the region.
