LASHKARGAH (PAN): A suicide bomber was killed on Monday before reaching his target in the southern province of Helmand, the governor’s office said on Monday.
The bomber, Mullah Ghulam, attempted to detonate his suicide vest inside Marja district headquarters at 6 am, but he detonated his explosives in front of the building because he was in a hurry, Helmand governor’s office said in a statement.
Ghulam was loyal to Taliban commander Mullah Siddique, the statement added. Aside from the attacker himself, the bomb caused no other deaths or injuries.
