KABUL (PAN): A helicopter belonging to NATO-led troops has crashed in southern Zabul province, the western military alliance said on Friday, but the Taliban claimed they shot down the copter.

In a statement, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said the site of the crash had been cordoned off by the force servicemembers and all crewmembers were rescued.

There were no casualties, it said, adding an investigation had been opened to determine what caused the crash.

Meanwhile, a Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, said the fighters shot down the helicopter in Sewri district.
