Suicide blast kills policeman in Marja

LASHKARGAH (PAN): A policeman was killed in a suicide bombing in Marja district of southern Helmand province on Friday, an official said.

The bomber, dressed in police uniform and laced with a gun, wanted to enter the district police headquarters, when he was identified and shot at by police, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Explosives strapped to the attacker’s body went off due to the firing by police, killing one policeman, he said.
