Taliban group leader detained in Farah
FARAH CITY (PAN): Intelligence operatives detained a Taliban group leader with a Kalashnikov assault rifle during an operation in the Bala Balok district of western Farah province, an official said on Thursday.
The detainee, identified as Syed Abdul Azeem, was arrested during a raid on a house on Thursday night, intelligence official Syed Anbiya told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said Azeem was involved in planting mines against foreign and Afghan forces in the district.
