Karzai and Støre discussed in detail issues concerning the ongoing peace process, the security transition plan and relations between the two countries, the statement said.
The visiting dignitary said Norway would continue to provide Afghanistan assistance in various fields. He said his country was interested in long-term strategic cooperation with Afghanistan.
Karzai called Norway one of Afghanistan's best friends, saying the country had had a key role in Afghanistan's reconstruction over the past several years.
