5 killed, 15 injured in latest Pakistani shelling

Pakistani soldiers targeted the Shonkri and Khadikhel areas of the Sargano district in their nighttime attack, Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel, the eastern zone border police commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Amarkhel said that the attacks were causing a great deal of financial and physical hardship for people in Afghanistan‘s border areas and asked the international community to take seriously Pakistan’s continued shelling of civilian targets along the border.

He said: “If the government gives us the order, we can take 20 kilometers Pakistan’s soil in an hour.”

Brig. Gen. Amarkhel compared Pakistan to Russia in its killing of Afghan civilians, saying that the attacks had set homes and forests on fire.
