Suspect arrested in Faryab grenade attack

KABUL): Faryab police have arrested a person suspected of throwing a hand grenade that injured 17 students in a provincial school, officials said Sunday.

A statement Pajhwok Afghan News received from the Interior Ministry said that police had apprehended a suspect on a motorcycle who allegedly threw a grenade into Ali Shir Nawyee School in the city of Maimana this afternoon, injuring 17 male students.

The statement says that two of the injured students are in critical condition.
