KABUL and the US.
The book hits the market at a time when officials from Afghanistan and the US are discussing the deal.
President Karzai has said the strategic cooperation deal would have no impact on Afghanistan’s relations with its neighbouring countries.
In his book, Haqyar compares the need for the US permanent military bases to the authority of the Afghan government.
Writer and journalist Fida Mohammad Faiz said the book highlighted some issues about the deal that warranted discussion on a national level.
“The US plan to establish permanent military bases in Afghanistan is a hot issue these days, and the writer had offered the right the subject deserves to be given in his book,” he said.
As mentioned in the book, Faiz said the Afghan government has no authority to reject the idea of bases and lacks the courage to present its conditions.
Haqyar said he wrote the book to express his love with the country.
He said the establishment of US military bases would mean an unending war in Afghanistan.
