KABUL): New nursing training programs were launched on Tuesday in Bamyan, Khost and Nangarhar provinces, officials said.

Acting Minister of Public Health Suraya Dalil signed two contracts with Lisa Bandari, Agha Khan Foundation director and Dr. Naseem, the Health Unite organization director in Kabul.

Dalil said that both organizations have to provide students with a standard studying environment, study materials, library, bookstore, hostel, and kindergarten.

The project will be expanded to the other provinces like Logar, Ghor, Jawzjan, and Kandahar, she added.

Girls in 9th through 12th grades are being enrolled in the health institutes for better nursing in their areas.
