CHARIKAR) helicopter crashed on Thursday in central Parwan province, officials and ISAF said.
The helicopter crashed at around 7:00 am after experiencing technical problems while flying over the Barikabad area of Bagram, the district chief, Hafizullah, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He had no details about casualties related to the crash, he said.
The ISAF media office said in a brief statement that the helicopter made an emergency landing and that the Taliban were not involved in the incident.
The statement added that no member of the helicopter’s crew had suffered any casualties. ISAF is investigating the cause of the accident, it said.
Syed Mahmud, a resident of the area who witnessed the crash, said that security personnel had cordoned off the area and he had no information about casualties.
On Tuesday night, an M-27, a Russian military aircraft, crashed in the Qandqistan area of the Seya Gird district of the province.
Eight passengers on the M-27 were killed. The aircraft had been transporting logistics supplies to Bagram airfield, provincial police chief Abdul Basir Salang said.
Zabiullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, claimed the Taliban had shot down an ISAF Black Hawk helicopter and that all the soldiers onboard were killed.
