ASADABAD (PAN for a decision.

“If talks and efforts through diplomatic channels fail to stop the attacks from Pakistan, the matter should be referred to the Loya Jirga,” said Syed Ishaq Gilani, the delegation leader.

He said the Wolesi Jirga would once again summon the defence and interior ministers and other officials concerned to the house on the cross border attacks.

Residents said attacks from Pakistan are still continuing. They said earlier a delegation had visited the province to probe into the attacks, but there had been no outcome.

The parliamentary delegation had arrived in Kunar to investigate into the attacks and provide assistances to the affected families.

Gilani said that the shelling from Pakistan had badly affected the routine life of people in areas near the Pakistani border.

He said officials concerned would be summoned to the house to brief lawmakers on the situation arising from the attacks.
