MAZAR-I-SHARIF (PAN): Four people were killed in a head-on collision between two vehicles in northern Balkh province on Friday, the provincial traffic police chief said.
Another four passengers were wounded in the crash in the Sarjoi area on the highway linking the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif with Shiberghan, the capital of Jawzjan province, Col. Mohammad Jan told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The dead included drivers of both vehicles, said Col. Jan, who said the injured were taken to hospital. They are said to be in stable condition. The official blamed the accident on careless driving.
