Policeman injured in Maidan Shahr

MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN): One policeman was injured in a result of mine explosion in central province of Wardak, an official said on Saturday.

Provinical governor’s spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said the explosion took place at around 7am.

The explosives had been placed in a flower vase in the central square of Maidan Shahr, he said.

The injured policeman and taken to the civil hospital and is in stable condition.

Samiullah, a witness, recalled seeing a huge explosion.

No one claimed responsibility.
