10 ISAF fuel tankers torched; 4 injured
ISLAMABAD (PAN): Four people were wounded and 10 tankers burnt in an attack on an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) supply convoy in Pakistan's Sindh province, an official said on Monday.
At least 10 tankers were destroyed as unidentified gunmen attacked the convoy in the Khairpur town, about 260 miles northeast of Karachi, police official Ghulam Manzar told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Six assailants in two cars attacked the convoy at about midnight. The drivers, who were taking tea, had parked their vehicles in front of a restaurant, witness Zahoor Ali said.
The restaurant and five shops were burnt in a fire caused by the attack, said Ali, who added the wounded people were taken to a health facility. No one has so far asserted responsibility for the attack.
